What do we see in this work of art?
The Scottish Highland cattle, Highland Cattle or Kyloe is a breed of domestic cattle. It is the oldest registered breed of cattle. It comes from the north-west of Scotland and the Hebrides, where over centuries it has developed the characteristics that are attributed to it through natural selection: the small and relatively light highland cattle are considered good-natured, robust and long-lived, and are suitable for free-range farming all year round Even on soils unsuitable for heavy livestock, calves easily and frequently, even without human help. It provides medium-creamy milk and low-cholesterol meat.
Today the breed is bred in many countries around the world. The first highland cattle were introduced to Germany in 1975, and they have been raised in the United States since the late 19th century.
Because of their friendly and cute appearance, the Scottish Highland cattle have inspired many photographers and artists. The photos and artwork of this highland cattle can be seen everywhere.
