Korean Tiger - Poster
What do we see in this poster?
This mural "Tiger" printed on a poster, which is probably Kim Hong-do's training work, was shown in the exhibition "Five Hundred Years" in the early 1970s "modern Korean masterpieces" were exhibited and praised by many people. It was so famous that it even graced the cover of the National Museum of Korea catalog.
This work was found in the basement of a Japanese restaurant in Korea in 1946. When Korea was colonized by Japan, the Japanese looted many Korean works of art and brought them to Japan. However, after Japan lost the war, the Japanese left Korea and could not take all the works with them. This is one of the lucky works of art.
This image was drawn with ink on paper. The artist put a lot of effort into depicting the fur. Posture, facial expression and details are probably the result of close and persistent observation of the tiger's ecology. Such an image cannot be imagined or improvised. It is the result of a long period of preparation and study that can finally be achieved.
Where can this poster hang?
This "Tiger" mural printed on a poster is a classic Korean image with very fine details. The tiger's antique feel but friendly facial expression is guaranteed to attract attention. We especially recommend it for environments that can benefit from the classic Asian look, such as: B. a restaurant, but it also looks good at home.
